Erase una vez …
A veces el destino actúa de maneras extrañas. Tal es el caso para los músicos mágicos Batt y Chason. No hace mucho tiempo, en un café llamado Gollem en Amsterdam, estos dos personajes poco probables estaban sentados codo a codo y enfrascados en discusiones profundas al respecto del estado de la escena musical de su querida ciudad, cuando sus vidas cambiaron por siempre.
La hora de cierre del café estaba ya cercana y el lugar estaba prácticamente desierto, cuando Batt notó una luz roja pulsante de debajo de una puerta. De un pronto a otro, la puerta se abrió, y lo que debe de haber sido la seductora más sexy de todo el distrito rojo les robó la mirada y se acercó a ellos.
“Ustedes serán estrellas…” suspiró casi en tono de trance. De una pequeña cartera que llevaba en su cadera sacó algo que inicialmente se pareció a un pequeño perro negro, pero que resultó ser un murciélago.
Entregándoselo a Batt, muy acertadamente, ella dijo “Yo soy La Luna, y esta es Star. El velará por ustedes – los mantendrá a salvo”
“A salvo de qué?” preguntó Chason con algo de esceptisismo.
Entregándole a Chason un bastón negro nacarado que sacó de la cartera en su cadera, La Luna respondió “De aquellos que los pueden drenar. De aquellos que se interpongan en el camino de su verdadero propósito. Ustedes son los portadores de la buena nueva. Del futuro de la música, la luz, el movimiento y la oscuridad.”
“Y asumo que tendremos un nombre nuevo?” preguntó Batt.
“Por supuesto” respondió La Luna. “Uds han nacido hijos de Amsterdam y destinados a ser por siempre DRTY LVRS. Ustedes llevarán su visión y sonido a América, y luego al MUNDO. Ambos han sido escogidos por los dioses musicales para llevar un ritmo musical tan inaudito que la gente no tendrá más opción que rendirse ante este. Sigan el camino puesto ante ustedes y todo será de ustedes…”
Batt y Chason arrivaron a Fort Lauderdale, Florida el primero de Enero del 2011. Meses de práctica han resultado en su debut el 11.11.11 con el primer single R3D, un homenaje a la luz pulsante en esa noche donde su destino cambió.

“Once upon a time…
Sometimes fate intervenes in the strangest of ways. Such was the case for magical musicians Batt and Chason. Not long ago, in an Amsterdam cafe named Gollem, these two most unlikely of characters were sitting elbow to elbow deep in discussion over the state of their fair city’s music scene, when their lives changed forever.
It was nearly closing time and the place was all but deserted when Batt noticed a throbbing red glow coming from underneath a door behind the bar. All at once, the door flew open, and what must have been the hottest seductress in all of the red light district, stole their gaze and headed toward them.
“You will be stars…” she whispered as if in a trance. From a satchel on her hip, she pulled out what initially looked like a small black dog, but turned out to be a bat.
Appropriately handing it to Batt, she said “I am La Luna, and this is Star. He will watch over you both – keep you safe.”
“Safe from what?” countered Chason skeptically.
Handing Chason a black marbleish cane pulled from her hip bag, La Luna replied “From those that might drain you. From those that might stand in the way of your true purpose. You are the bringers of new sound. You will be the future of music, light, movement, and darkness.”
“And I assume you have a name for this new ‘us’?” questioned Batt.
“But of course” La Luna replied. “You were born children of Amsterdam to forever be the DRTY LVRS. You will bring your sound and vision to America, and then the WORLD. You both have been chosen by the musical gods to spread a groove so dirty that people will have no choice but to release themselves to it. Follow the path laid out for you and all will be yours…”
Batt and Chason arrived in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on January 1 of 2011. Months of rehearsing and writing has resulted in the 11.11.11 release of their debut single R3D, an homage to the pulsing light on that fateful night.
